Console language

Choose the language of the heyGRC console. This is your personal interface language, separate from Review language.

Console language sets the language of the heyGRC console at app.heygrc.com: the navigation, Settings, buttons, and messages. The default follows your browser. You can pick English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, or Polish.

It is a per-user preference: your choice, on your account. It does not change what your teammates see.

Console language vs Review language

These are two different settings. It is worth knowing which is which.

  • Console language (this page) is who you are: your personal dashboard language. It changes only what you see in the console.
  • Review language is org-wide: the language of the compliance review comments heyGRC posts on your pull requests. One setting for the whole organization.

Changing one does not change the other. You can read the console in French while your organization posts English reviews, or the reverse.

What changes

  • The console chrome: navigation, page titles, Settings, buttons, empty states, and messages use the language you pick.

What does not change

  • Control IDs and framework titles stay as they are (for example A.8.15).
  • The GitHub check name stays heyGRC, and pull request review comments follow your Review language, not this setting.
  • Repository names, pull request numbers, and other data from GitHub are shown as they come.

How to set it

  1. Open app.heygrc.comSettings.
  2. Find the Console language card (next to Appearance).
  3. Pick a language. The console switches immediately, and your choice is remembered.
